About Taggzi
Taggzi makes a small NFC + QR tag that gets lost pets home. Whoever finds your pet taps or scans the tag with their phone and reaches you straight away – no app to install, and your number stays private unless you choose to show it.
Who’s behind it
Steve Chowns, Founder
I’m Steve, and I started Taggzi in the UK in May 2026.
Most pet ID tags stop at a phone number engraved on a disc. Numbers change, engraving wears away, and your number is on show to anyone who picks your dog up. I wanted a tag that anyone who finds your pet could use in seconds with the phone already in their pocket – no app, no account – and that lets you choose what they see.
So Taggzi is one small metal tag with NFC and a QR code. A tap or a scan opens your pet’s page, the finder can message or call you, and with Pro they can video call you without either of you swapping numbers. The tag and the Free plan never expire.
Taggzi is a small, independent UK business. If something isn’t right, or you have an idea, email support@taggzi.com.
