A Lasting Tribute: Taggzi Memorial Profiles
When a pet passes
Losing a pet is one of the most painful experiences a pet owner goes through. In the days and weeks that follow, the last thing you want to think about is what to do with their online presence — their Taggzi profile, their photos, the little digital record of who they were.
We built Memorial Profiles so you never have to delete any of it.
What a Memorial Profile does
When you mark a pet’s profile as a memorial, it’s gently transformed into a tribute — preserving everything that was there, while making it clear to anyone who visits that this pet has passed.
What changes
- A memorial banner appears at the top of the public profile — “🕯️ In Loving Memory” — with the date they passed, if you choose to share it
- Contact buttons are removed — the Call and WhatsApp buttons no longer show. There’s no need to be contacted about a pet who has gone
- The date of passing is recorded and displayed as a gentle reminder of the time you shared
What stays exactly the same
- All photos, exactly as they were
- The pet’s full profile — name, breed, date of birth, their story
- Passport details — vet records, medical notes, everything you added
Nothing is deleted. The profile becomes a place to visit, not a record to close.
How to enable it
In the Taggzi app, open your pet’s profile and tap Edit. Scroll to the bottom and toggle Memorial profile. You can optionally enter the date they passed. Tap Save — the profile updates immediately.
Available to all Taggzi users
Memorial Profiles are available on both the free and Pro Taggzi plans. Your pet’s memory deserves a place to live on — and Taggzi will keep it safe, for as long as you want it there.
