How to set up your Taggzi

Step 1 — Scan or tap the tag

Hold the Taggzi near the top of your phone (Android) or use the iPhone NFC reader. Alternatively, open the QR code on the tag with your camera app. You'll be taken straight to the tag's Taggzi page.

Step 2 — Tap "Activate This Tag"

On the tag's landing page, tap the activation button. You can choose a Taggzi Pro subscription (full features) or a one-time £2.99 activation to transfer the tag into your name.

Step 3 — Create or log into your Taggzi account

Sign up for free or log in if you already have an account. The tag will be linked to your pet in your Taggzi dashboard.

Step 4 — Add your pet's details

Add your dog's name, breed, photo, and your contact details. This is the information a finder will see if your dog is ever lost. Add as much as you like — more detail means a faster reunion.

Step 5 — Mark as lost if your dog goes missing

If your dog goes missing, log in and mark them as lost. Taggzi notifies nearby registered users and shares a community alert to help get your dog home quickly.

Common questions

The tag currently shows the rescue centre's details. Is that normal? +
Yes — while a dog is in rescue care, the tag shows the rescue centre as the contact point. Once you activate and transfer the tag into your account, it will show your contact details instead.
Do I have to pay to keep using Taggzi? +
There is a one-time £2.99 activation fee to transfer the tag into your name, or you can subscribe to Taggzi Pro for full features including lost pet alerts and community notifications. The basic profile is included with activation.
Does Taggzi replace my dog's microchip? +
No — Taggzi works alongside your dog's microchip and ID disc. Microchipping is a legal requirement in the UK. Taggzi is an additional layer of smart identification that a finder can access immediately without a microchip reader.
