PawTag is becoming Taggzi — and it’s just the beginning
The short version: PawTag is rebranding to Taggzi, and we’re expanding beyond pet ID. Your existing PawTags, your account, and everything you rely on today will keep working exactly as they do. There’s nothing you need to do.
How it started 🐾
PawTag was built to solve one problem: pets going missing, and families being left desperate to find them. We wanted a tag that anyone could scan — no app, no fuss — and get the finder in touch with the owner in seconds.
Since then, we’ve watched real pets go home. We’ve had messages from owners in tears. We’ve helped vets identify strays, and rescue centres reunite lost animals with families who’d already given up hope. It’s the best possible reason to build a product.
Where it’s going 🚀
The idea behind PawTag — a smart tag that anyone can scan to get exactly the right information at exactly the right moment — is bigger than pets. It applies to almost anything you care about, own, or want to keep track of.
That’s why we’re rebranding to Taggzi. It’s the same technology, the same team, the same commitment to doing this properly — just growing to cover more of the things that matter to you.
We’re not sharing the specifics of what’s coming next yet, but we’re very excited about it. Watch this space.
What stays exactly the same ✅
- Every existing PawTag keeps working. Every tag ever made routes to the same pet profile, forever. Nothing to replace, nothing to reprogram.
- Your account carries over automatically. Same login, same pets, same passport data, same subscription.
- The PawTag app keeps working. It will update to Taggzi branding over time, but you don’t need to reinstall or migrate.
- Your subscription is unchanged. Pricing, features, billing — all the same.
- Your pet profiles stay live. Every finder who scans your tag will still land on your pet’s profile page, just like today.
What’s changing 🎨
- The name. Over the coming weeks you’ll see “Taggzi” appear across the website, the app, and our communications.
- The look. New logo, refreshed visual identity — still warm, still friendly, still built for real families and real pets.
- The scope. Taggzi will grow to include new products beyond pet ID. We’ll share more as each one launches.
Timeline 📅
This is a phased rollout, not a hard switch. There’s no cutover date, no downtime, and nothing that requires action from you. The rebrand will roll out gradually across the site, the app, and our communications over the coming weeks.
Common questions
Do I need to replace my PawTags?
No. Every PawTag ever produced continues to route to the correct pet profile, forever. That’s a promise, not a plan — the URL your tag scans to will always stay live.
Will the app stop working?
No. The existing PawTag app keeps working exactly as it does today. Over time it will update to the Taggzi name and look, seamlessly.
Do I need to re-register or move my pets?
No. Your account, your pets, your passport data, your subscription — all carry over automatically. You don’t need to do anything.
Is my subscription safe?
Yes. Same price, same features, same billing. Nothing changes for existing subscribers.
What’s coming beyond pets?
That’s the fun part — and we’re not quite ready to share the details. Follow us on social, or keep an eye on this blog. You’ll be the first to know.
Thank you 🙏
PawTag has grown into something we’re genuinely proud of, and that’s down to every owner who’s trusted us with their pet’s safety. Taggzi is our commitment to keep going, keep improving, and keep building things that make a real difference.
We’re excited. We hope you are too.
